While Frontier Resolve founder Nathan Murr’s two decades in the Marine Corps and outdoor industry affects every aspect of how we engineer, build, and test our outdoor equipment, our gear is for anyone that values reliability and functionality above all else: active-duty military looking for equipment that will perform at the level they do; big-game hunters looking for a dynamic and durable pack; those seeking hiking gear; and technical outdoor enthusiasts headed out for a night – or twenty in the back country.

After a career in the U.S. Marine Corps as an Infantryman, Nathan Murr cut his proverbial engineering teeth working in design development for a prominent defense contractor. He consulted and helped develop a wide selection of products for numerous companies. He later went on to be the founder and CEO of True North Concepts, designing and expanding into a line of specialized military equipment embraced by DOD personnel and firearm experts alike. 

Frontier Resolve is our next frontier: an American-made outdoor equipment design and manufacturing company dedicated to uncompromising quality, dependable gear.

Durability, speed, and functionality are our core design tenets as we grow.  We design every piece of equipment as if it’s going to see combat, because some of it just might. 

Our First Launch: The Fortitude Pack Frame for ALICE and FILBE frame Compatible Packs

As a Team leader in a Marine Corps sniper platoon routinely carrying 100-120 pounds on his back, and someone who has experienced the frustration of multiple failed ALICE type frames first-hand, Frontier Resolve founder Nate Murr wanted to build something infallible for both military and civilian use.

His unique knowledge, extensive experience and successful design talent is the genesis for our first product launch, the Fortitude Pack Frame. 

We created a nearly indestructible frame that was no heavier than the ALICE frame, but more useful: a compelling replacement for ancient ALICE and fragile FILBE pattern frames that could also serve as a stand-alone packboard for those unique-use cases.
